On Friday, July 21st, The Greater Vidalia® Chamber, Toombs County Development Authority, Kiwanis Club of Vidalia, and Rotary Club of Vidalia co-hosted a breakfast with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger at Vidalia Cornerstone Church. Over 70 guests had an opportunity to meet with and ask questions of Raffensperger as he spoke with the crowd on many subjects including voter security, cyber security, as well as the launch in May of this year of the GA WORKS Licensing Commission to review nearly 100 years of licensing rules and regulations in order to address the challenges faced by Georgia workforce professionals regarding the licensing process.
Of particular interest to entrepreneurs and small business owners, Raffensperger reported that 2020 and 2021 saw record numbers in corporate formations with active entities in 2020 increasing by 56% and in 2021 by an additional 25%.
The breakfast was a program of the Greater Vidalia® Chamber Public Policy Council, Mike Hagan, Chairman.
