Business Builders Series - Launch Luncheon

Kickstart 2025 with our first installment of the Business Builder Series: Launch Luncheon!

This engaging event offers start-ups and entrepreneurs a chance to grow their ventures through meaningful networking and access to local resources. Our keynote speaker, Abigail Vickers, Outreach specialist at Statesboro’s UGA Small Business Development Center, will provide practical insights and proven strategies for entrepreneurship, effective networking, and making the most of available resources to build a successful business. Join us to connect, learn, and take your next step forward.

State of Economic Development

February 18, 2025, Lyons First Baptist Church

Learn how progressive communities have jump started revitalization using the Tax Allocation District (TAD) for areas that are blighted, underdeveloped, or lacking infrastructure.  TAD projects add vibrancy, productivity, and increased profits providing a higher quality of life for all citizens.  A panel of community leaders will present examples of how they’ve successfully implemented TAD resulting in significant growth and prosperity. 

Annual Membership Meeting

February 7, 2025, Vidalia Community Center

Be a part of the Greater Vidalia® Chamber’s most esteemed event. The Annual Membership Meeting installs the Chamber’s new Chair of the Board, recognizes outgoing board members, and introduces the incoming board of directors. Being one of the Chamber’s largest networking and social events, over 300 business and community leaders from small and large companies as well as elected officials attend. This community “must-attend” event is a prime place to not only see but be seen by the most influential business leaders in the region.

ConnectHER Women’s Gathering

March 27, 2025, The Dahlia 

ConnectHER is a networking, relationship building, and leadership opportunity for women. It targets businesswomen, non-profit volunteers, committee members, female elected officials, and special guests. The event is a celebration of community engagement for women who have given their time and expertise to grow local businesses and companies and expand leadership capacity in our region. The event includes an inspiring speaker and a seated meal. ConnectHER also offers a mini expo/shopping bazaar with booths specifically for women’s services and interests.

Showcasing Greater Vidalia®

May 9, 2025, Vidalia Community Center

Showcasing Greater Vidalia® is an event to highlight the goods and services of our members while raising revenue to provide benefits and services to Chamber members and the community. It is an annual auction where approximately 500 people attend and see firsthand what Chamber members have to offer. Chamber members like to do business with other members who are involved and help our community grow and prosper. Showcasing Greater Vidalia® is a great way to increase business contacts.

Summit

September 25, 2025, Southeastern Technical College

Summit is a 1/2 day business leadership conference.  This is a don’t miss event for anyone in the region looking for professional development or leadership training. This event is  typically a morning event, ending at lunch.  

State of Healthcare

October 2, 2025, Lyons First Baptist Church 

Caylee Noggle, President and CEO of the Georgia Hospital Association will give an overview of health care from the state perspective. GHA is a nonprofit association that provides information and education on issues ranging from access to health care and clinical care updates, to effective hospital management and compliance with high-level accreditation standards. Also, Jessica Schwind from the Institute of Health Logistics and Analytics at Georgia Southern University will speak on the Community Health Resource Project (CHRP). The CHRP will work with 18 rural, underserved Georgia Counties over a two-year period to identify and map community health resources. Results will be provided to partners to help guide workforce development efforts in rural counties.

 

Business Expo

October 9, 2025, Vidalia Community Center

The Business Expo held every year in the fall provides the opportunity for small businesses to have personal contact with approximately 500 potential new customers. Typically, 50 vendors participate, and attendees can see and hear about their business products and services in person. No other event gives you the opportunity to meet with this many potential customers in one day.

Legislative Luncheon

January 9, 2025, First Baptist Church Lyons

Held annually in January, the Legislative Luncheon allows members to hear what elected officials are focusing on for the coming year. Members are given the opportunity to submit questions about issues that may impact their business.
