The Chamber kicked off the 2022 Signature Events schedule with the 2022 Legislative Luncheon held at Lyons First Baptist Church on January 6th. This event is generally held on the first Thursday in January, the week before the legislative sessions kick off in Atlanta, and hosted by the Chamber’s Public Policy Council.
This year’s event highlighted not only the state legislative sessions, with State Senator Blake Tillery and State Representative Leesa Hagan, but also the national legislature with Congressman Rick Allen highlighting his agenda for the upcoming session in Congress. This year’s event brought record breaking attendance with nearly 250 people at the luncheon. After the panelists highlighted their agendas, they took questions from members of the audience. The Legislative Luncheon gives business members of our community the chance to hear directly from their representation as well as ask any questions about how upcoming legislation could impact their business.
